Now, we mean no disrespect to the dancing ladies of many mortgage ads, whose killer moves have lured millions into saving money. Nor do we wish to offend Mr. Monkey of punch the monkey, as he’s undoubtedly accumulated enough angst to unleash a world of clicking furry on the internet. And Google, the king of kings. If developers were creating tech blogs or web hosting review sites, AdSense would be in heaven. But, unfortunately, “fun wall” and “hug me” keywords aren’t in huge demand.

A social ad with people in it is still an ad. A concept, btw, which has been used for decades. I am wondering if they can save online advertising, or if it's just a reprieve to keep spening on media instead of creating valuable experience for people.

I just got done working with a company doing geo-targeted real-time ads. This is going to be a nice companion piece to what we're thinking about.

I think people will hate seeing their names in ads, I know I do. Personalization is a slippery slope as you are finding out.

I tell you what, the ads that say "Your friend Fred loves Product X" are going to be a problem soon enough in regards to using Fred's name and photo in an ad without his permission, unless they bury it in the TOS.

Good idea. Please also make sure that ads that are supposed to load in a new tab do so. Currently a new tab is opened when a user clicks on the links within the ad already loaded.
